Whether your work is rooted in fiction or memoir, place offers a visual and immersive experience for readers and writers alike. In this generative writing session, participants will interrogate maps (and research place and think about the idea of home) to create a lifeline of events to write about and around in their stories and essays. We will examine the concept of mapping--from geographic to emotional--and write about how identity is connected to navigating our worlds on micro and macro planes. No sense of direction required.
